OTTO Group's Visit
High-profile officers from Otto International – Ms. Thea Hoffmann, Director Quality and Compliance, and Ms. Susanne Toedter, Senior Project Manager, Sustainability and Quality – has paid a visit to Vietsun, getting the initiative of sustainability and transparency of the supply chain across. They were accompanied by Mr. Sven Bittner, Otto’s Chief Representative in Vietnam and Ms. Ramonica San Juan, Sourcing Executive.
As one of the leading brands in EU, Otto International steadfastly champions sustainable growth as wells as green manufacturing and encourages its vendors from all corners of the compass to follow suit in their business. While Ms. Hoffmann shared the latest developments in environment stewardship commonly adopted by the brand names in EU and around the world, Ms. Todedter drilled down to the sustainability and transparency norms put forward by Otto Group in the years to come.
Mr. Thanh, Vietsun MD, briefed the guests about Vietsun’s concerted efforts to move the needles on quality control system and environment-friendly mindset as it was working on its numerous expansion projects. He went on confirming Vietsun’s commitment to back Otto’s initiative and readiness to make its chain of fabric and supply sources known to buyers upon request. After the tour around the 6,000 m2-wide headquarters, the visitors had a better insight into Vietsun’s determination to align its operation with Otto’s environment initiative.,
Vietsun, as a token of openness, also arranged a fact-finding tour for the guests to its trim supplier in Ho Chi Minh City, Paiho, and fabric provider in Binh Duong Province, Tiong Liong, to get first-hand information on their partners’ environment-friendly manufacturing. The field trip was wrapped up with a factory tour to Viet Duc, a flagship factory under Vietsun, where the guests came to know that Vietsun walked the talks.
